1. Clinical Study in Australia

The Preliminary Clinic Observation of 101 Hair Tonic and its Herbal Formula from 90 Cases of Male Pattern Hair Loss (Androgenetic Alopecia)", first presented at 2005 Annual Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association Conference in May 2005, Melbourne; Research conducted by Dr. Tony (ZhenYe) Rong.

Experiment:

Subjects: All male aged between 20-60 years.
Observation period: Two month treatment program during January 2004 to January 2005.(Some case¡¯s programs extended to 3 months.)
Method: Lotion (101 Hair Tonic) applied twice a day, 3.3ml each time, mainly on the bald/thinning area. Two herbal tablets (101 Hair Formula) taken each day.

Results:

Conclusion:

i) This relatively large sample clinical trial of Chinese herbs (101 Hair Tonic, Formula and Shampoo) treating Male Pattern Hair Loss may be the first in Australia.
ii) The results suggest that treatment with 101 Hair Products is an effective way to treat Male Pattern Hair Loss sufferers with mild to moderate, hair loss (not complete hair loss).
iii) 101 Hair Products are an effective and safe alternative to drug or chemical based hair re-growth products.

2. Clinical Studies in China

Study Findings:

i) 101 Hair Tonics work on a very simple basis. A big factor causing your hair loss is the fact that the roots of your hair simply don’t receive enough nutrients due to stress being released from your body. Nutrients come in the blood. So, 101 works by dramatically boosting the blood flow and hence also the amount of nutrients to the starving hair roots. It's like watering your plants everyday instead of every week! The graphs below show just how 101 Hair Tonics can dramatically increase the blood flow to the scalp.

Laser Doppler measurement of the volume of blood flow to the affected area taken from a 43 year-old male patient suffering from androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness) for 20 years. Blood flow rate is proportional to the voltage generated from these measurements.

(1: before treatment, 4.4V; 2: 15 min after treatment, 7.0V; 3: 1 hours after treatment, 3.0V; 4: 3 hours after treatment, 5.4V; 5: 6 hours after treatment, 6.0V)

ii) 101 F Hair Tonic is developed to treat people with male/female pattern baldness by promoting the local blood circulation, vitalizing nerves and nourishing roots of the hair for hair re-growth. Clinical observation of 847 cases by doctors in China showed that the cure rate of this product is 83%.

iii) 101 B Hair Tonic is developed to prevent further hair loss, stop itchiness and oil and open up hair follicles. According to a survey of 4325 cases, the effective rate is 99%.
